“Childhood is like a treasure for me. I like to drench my paintings with the things I saw and observed in the childhood.”

Shiv Kumar Soni is a young artist from Rajasthan, India. Born in 1992 and brought up in Bidasar, Churu, he later moved to Jaipur to pursue the career of his dreams and graduated with a Bachelor in Visual Art from the Rajasthan School of Art, Jaipur.

Over the years, he has participated in nearly thirty solo and group shows across the country and also at the American Club in Singapore in 2021. Apart from these, he has taken part in numerous other exhibitions, competitions, and contests, including the 4th Art Summit in Jaipur in 2016.

An emerging young and contemporary artist, Shiv uses watercolour and acrylic colours along with a special technique to highlight the stories of childhood, aiming to evoke childhood memories in everyone who views his paintings.“Technically, I like to paint with acrylic colour in watercolour style,” he reveals, describing how he has crafted this approach into an exclusive technique that defines his artistic signature.
