Rajendra Kapse

Rajendra Kapse, born in Chandrapura, Maharashtra, completed his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in 1995 from the JJ School of Arts, Mumbai. From early on, he was the recipient of various awards and acknowledgements, starting with a State Level Award and an award from the Bombay Society of Art in 1998, leading up to the prestigious Senior Fellowship by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India in 2011. Between 2004 and 2011, he held several solo shows, including: 2011 – “FUNTELLECTUAL” at Art Konsult, Delhi 2008 – “COOL” at L’Inde Le Palais, Bologna, Italy 2008 – “HUMORGLOBIN” at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai 2007 – “FUNTITLE” at Arnden Gallery, London, UK 2006 – “GODDY” at Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai 2004 – “PUN ‘N’ PUNCH” at Alliance Française De Bombay, Mumbai He also participated in several notable international exhibitions and residencies, such as: 2022 – Participated as mentor at the 6th Istanbul Child & Youth Art Biennial, Istanbul, Turkey 2019 – Participated in the Shanghai International Contemporary Art Exhibition and Workshop, Shanghai, China 2019 – Participated in the 30th International Art Residencies Program & Duel Exhibition at Penza Art Gallery, Penza, Moscow, Russia 2006 – Participated in Kashi Café Art Residency & Group Exhibition, Cochin, Kerala Apart from these, Rajendra Kapse has actively participated in numerous group exhibitions, art camps, and art workshops across India and internationally, significantly enriching his artistic journey and cultural exchange experiences.
