Born in Ahmedabad in 1980, Bharavi Modi did her Post Diploma in Creative Painting from Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda in 2004preceded by Diploma in Drawing and Painting in 2002 from Sheth C.N. College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad.
Since 2001 to 2016 Bharaivi did several solo shows in Ahmedabad and Bhopal and innumerable group shows in Mumbai, Gujrat, New Delhi, London and Canada.
While her works are in the collection of many renowned people and museums; they have also been displayed around the world. Her created Mural is in display at Vishwkosh Bhavan Gujarat Vishwkosh Trust,Ahmedabad. Her work has also been auctioned at Richmond Art Gallery silent mail Auction 2014 Canada.
Through the works Bharavi Modi denote the simple life of villages with figures and its various scenes sensitive yet very bold and straightforward in their depiction. The earthly colours add to the gentle and rustic feel of her theme. Drawing inspiration from the people around her the paintings and drawings of Bharavi spin the tales of the folklore, life and living of her native village of Ahmedabad, Gujrat where she is currently based and working.
