As an artist Manish he strives in meditation for communion with the absolute - a communion vouchsafed in rare flashes of blinding illumination. The experience indescribable in words, he evokes by painting in a slow, savoured process of rendering of a plant - a wild landscape or just some flora, his expression of the inner life of things and which could, in turn, assist the viewer’s quest for enlightenment.

There is a fine quality to his paintings be it a form or just a figure of a small bird peeping out from behind a leaf, almost ethereal. The delicate leaves looks like seen through a microscope displaying their thin thread like veins-fine and delicate. One is almost tempted to touch the canvas to feel the birds, the space, the leaves and feel the serenity and the sense of uninterrupted reverie avoiding monotony gentle changes from soft washes to firm brush strokes, from diaphanous forms to sharply focused details.
