Born in 1977 in Ghaziabad, UP artist Nawal Kishore completed his entire art education from the Lucknow University. He did his B.F.A. as a topper in painting, from college of arts -Lucknow University, Lucknow – 2000 followed by M.F.A. in Painting from college of arts Lucknow University, Lucknow – 2003.
Over the years he has participated in innumerable and prestigious group shows and art camps in New Delhi, Hyderabad, Noida, Gurgaon, Indore, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai and Dubai, He has had over 30 solo shows to his credit from 1997 till 2023 in New Delhi, Mumbai, Gurugram, Bareily, Rampur, Ghaziabad, Noida and Lucknow .
He was the recipient of many national and state level awards:Raja Ravi Varma award by Lalit Kala Academi, New Delhi and Meghmandal Sansthan- 2023 Critics’ Choice Award, by World University of Design, New Delhi-2021, and Kala Ratna Samman-2021, by Loksanskriti- Faridabad (Haryana) amongst many others.
Awarded Merit Scholarships from College of Arts, Lucknow-1999, he was honoured with: Chief Judge of award Committee of online Art Competition org.by PEFI (Ministry of youth affairs, acted as the coordinator and was a member of Member of Panel for Judging of Art Competition in Noida, Ghaziabad and ND, as Convenor and Director of several art camps and workshops.
Documentaries have been made on his works by Studio Art aperture Noida-2020 and “Dahi Haandi” a Documentary on art of Nawal Kishore by Vineet Panchii (eminent Poet)-2019; “Painter Of Love” with Nawal Kishore on work TV-2020; Documentary on art of Nawal kishore by MOJARTO (NDTV) -2018.
His works has been auctioned in 2012 by Art Bengaluru and is in the collection of central and state ministers and other dignitaries in India, in the Ste Museums of Lucknow, Shimla and internationally in USA, Singapore and Dubai.
His Murals “Women Empowerment”; mural on the life of Lord shri Ram; at MMR construction; “Mahishasurmardini”; “Shri Guru” are on display in the Delhi Metro, Delhi NCR, Noida and College of Arts Lucknow and Meherauli, ND.
