Artist Pratick Mallick finished his BVA from The Government College of Arts and Crafts, in 2011 from the painting department.
Following which he had participated annually in the annual group shows at Academy of Fine Arts and Birla Academy. This apart he also maintains a group named Aukar. The versatile artist Pratick expresses his creative side not only through his paintings but through performances with other creative groups like Expression, Badweep, Bandish etc. He has participated in several workshops in West Bengal.
Experimenting with medium, texture and theme he paints in colours bold as well in muted shades of pink. Conti, acrylic, oil, and watercolour he creates his narrative in figurative, and semi abstract, often experimenting with self styled frames for his paintings.
The artist is also the recipient of Joynul Abedin award in oil painting and J K Mukherjee Memorial Award for watercolour.
He is a teacher, freelancer, illustrator and currently teaching at CFA and taking outdoor workshops.
