The artist completed his five years course from the Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship, Rabindra Bharati University in 1990. After this he had done five solos in Jaipiur, Kolkata, and Delhi. He is recipient of the following awards: Art Maestro Award, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Award, State award from Prafulla Art Foundation, Calcutta City Award and many more.
In the words of the artist, “as an artist I am a spiritually devoted person. Through art I want to propagate peace in a world with terror and violence”. The artist’s canvases speak of the tranquillity epitomised through the usage of mellow colours moulding smoothly to create a subtle sense of spirituality in the landscapes he paints.
