Born in 1976 in Hooghly and armed with a graduation in Physics, he is by profession an engineer. Art as his passion and love found expression though his own initiative and he has devoted to it whole heartedly ever since.
He has exhibited his solo works at G M S Gallery, Chandannagar from 23rd to 28th January 2024; at Academy of fine arts, Kolkata, from 29th May to 5th June 2024; and at Lalit kala Academi, New Delhi, from 8th to 14th February 2025.
His works have been exhibited through innumerable group exhibition and through International Art Exhibition IWS India Biennale exhibition 2017, AIFCS, New Delhi. Since 2016 till 2024 he has participated in group exhibitions in Chandannagar and Kolkata at Birla Academy, Academy of Fine Arts, Gallery Gold, Asutosh Centenary Hall, ICCR, Charukala and others. Even though water colour s his favourite medium but he excels in use of acrylic as he uses the bright colours to portray his charachters with a certain softness and marked simplicity. From mythological characters to the deities and the common man woman and children his figures display a sense of liveliness and contentment. The narratives run smoothly in bright colours and gentle rounded strokes taking off the edges from the figures and rendering a wholesome roundedness to their presence.
