“The lively animal in their true format,” is how the artist likes to describe.

SK Nur Ali, did his Diploma in Visual Arts, from Academy of fine Arts, Kolkata In 1996-1999.

Since 2001 till 2019 he has had many solo shows in Kolkata and once in Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. He has been part of innumerable group shows in Kolkata, and Goa and participated in many annual art shows in Kolkata.

The painter born in 1974 and originating from rural Bengal, expresses his love for nature and the flora and fauna. SK. Nur Ali loves to work with nature, pets, the fish of the pond, & the goat of rural Bengal reflect amply in his painting. Richly coloured and with precise and often geometric forms the animals often transform into metaphors. The colour and composition of his paintings in a riot of colours fascinate its viewers totally.

Nur Ali has been the recipient of several awards like: In 1998 – Certificate of merit, Academy of fine Arts, Kolkata; in 2003 – Scholarship : Charukala Parishad, West Bengal Government; in2004 – Scholarship : Charukala Parishad, West Bengal Government.
