This exhibition will showcase the works of five contemporary artists from Thailand: Jirawat Pramphet, Monchai Kosolpladit, Sumanth Kunsumaso, Peeraphol Sripakananon, and Lingee Bangkhuntod each bringing forth the essence of the beautiful country of Thailand. Their collective works is a beautiful mix of figurative to abstract painting in bright and bold colour, from acrylic and oil to the use of mix media on canvas and board.
Thailand is a country known for its rich cultural heritage and history that has been influenced by many countries over the years left to be seen and felt in the temple ruins of Khmer architecture and in the practice of its vibrant tradition. Encircling the pristine mountains, blue-waters, beaches and gorgeous scenery, picture perfect in its beauty and tranquillity is the bustling city of Bangkok and its teeming million of enraptured tourists. Here walks hand in hand the most urban outlook and technology of the cities with the immortal essence of the old-world charm of the landscape with its natural beauty.
Each of the participating artist has tried capturing this individualistic characteristic of their homeland through their work. Their painting thus represents a unique collection of images as seen through their eyes and their idiosyncratic experiences arising thereof.
This makes this exhibition an amalgamation of a lovely blend of art and artistic expression that encompasses Thailand in its totality. While on one hand we have the detailed impressionistic representation of the fertile and serene, picturesque countryside and landscapes, the very realistic flora and fauna; on the other hand, we see the effect of the bustling and progressive city life on the mental frame of the artist while he paints the world as he sees it.
Art is something that inspires us; Art is something that awakens our inner depth; seeing the artworks of this exhibition let the same happen to you too!
