The artist did his Bachelor of Visual Arts from Rabindra Bharati University and completed his masters
in Graphics from MS University, Vadodara. He participated in several group shows in Kolkata,
Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, London, Washington DC and Bangladesh, since 2001. Artist
also showcased his solo works in Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi. He has attended several art and
cultural workshops and has participated in exhibitions abroad in Washington DC, New York, New
Jersey, USA and Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He was the recipient of several awards like: National award, Lalit Kala Academy 2018, Prafull
Dhanaker Gold medal for installation 2017, South Asia artist award (sponsor World Bank Washington
DC,USA (2012 -2013) amongst few others.
And since 2017 he is the Guest lecture free hand drawing at Navarachana University, department of,
science, Vadodara , Gujarat. He worked as a guest lecturer at Nirma University, Dept. of Designing in
2020. From 2002 – 2007 worked as an activity in charge / artist Ivy league academy, Hyderabad;
Growing up in the village of West Bengal he work is heavily influenced by the life and nature around
him. He has worked with figurative style reminiscent of the Calcutta style of painting. His paintings in
landscapes are a wonderful mix of colour and composition that transports one to a wonderland.
