Artist Gopal Roy born in 1985 is from Kolkata started his artistic pursuit with an art appreciation course
in 2006 from Rajya Charukala Parisad Department of Information & Culture Affairs,Govt of west Bengal.
He followed it up with BFA and MFA from Rabindra Bharati University in 2011 and 2013 respectively.
Since 2004 he started participating in workshops in Kolkata, Odisha, UP, Santiniketan,Rajasthan,
Noida and Delhi and had his first solo in 2012/2015 in Kolkata. This was followed by participation in
innumerable group shows in Kolkata, Noida and Delhi.
He has been the recipient of several awards in 2008/12/14/17/15 respectively and has several
publications to his credit. His work is in the collection of both national and international buyers.
