A self taught artist Meenakshi has had around 5 solo shows in New Delhi and in Patna from 2000 to 2019. She has also participated in innumerable group shows in Kolkata, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bihar, Santiniketan, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Sydney. She has also attended few work camps in Bihar and Rajasthan from 2014 to 2022. Meenakshi has been the recipient of several awards some of which are mentioned here: Times women Power Award 2019, Aadhi Abadi Samman 2021,
Tilka Manjhi Rashtriya Samman 2019, and Women achiever award OLA 2018. she has established a social enterprise named Kahaanighar which has emerged over last two years as an outfit which nurtures and imbibes culture into children and the society around them.
Her experimentations with the traditional elements of Mithila has evolved as a signature style of her own merges into current subjects, modern medium and contemporary skill sets.
