“The lively animal in their true format,” is how the artist likes to describe.

In 1996-1999 the artist did his Diploma in Visual Arts, from Academy of fine Arts, Kolkata.

This was followed by in 2019 he had his solo in Jeghangir Art Gallery, in 2013 – Academy of fine Arts, Kolkata; in 2013 – Taj Bengal, , 2014 – Taj Bengal, Kolkata and followed by many others all in Kolkata. Since 2002 till 2014 he had several group shows in Kolkata and in 1999 he participated – Annual Exhibition State Lalitkala Academy, Kolkata followed by: 2005 – Annual Exhibition Indian Society of Oriental Art, Kolkata, 2004 – Annual All India fine Art Exhibition, Academy of fine Arts, Kolkata, 2010 – Annual Exhibition State Lalitkala Academy, Kolkata, 2014 – Annual All India fine Art Exhibition, Academy of fine Arts, Kolkata, 2013 – Annual All India fine Art Exhibition, Academy of fine Arts, Kolkata amongst many others.

The painter born in 1974 and originating from rural Bengal, the nature, the pet animals, the fish of the pond & the goat of rural Bengal reflect in his painting. Richly coloured and with precise and often geometric forms the animals often transform into metaphors. The colour and composition of his paintings in a riot of colours fascinate its viewers totally.
